My most handsome and talented....

Nephew Brandon!!  A couple of weeks ago I attended my nephew's COLLEGE graduation, yes COLLEGE! I am getting that old, honestly, I don't believe it, but there it was, that day was here.  Brandon is my very special nephew, he is handsome, brilliant and always making his family VERY proud of him and this day was not an exception. Not only was he a college graduate from an extremely demanding program, but he was an honours graduate!  Brandon is soon to be our newest Fire Fighter and if I haven't said it enough, I couldn't be prouder of him, that day and everyday...... I love you Boo, past the stars and you are always a perfect nephew and perfect man.  I will always be proud of you!

CONGRATULATIONS College Graduate!!! Wishing you the future you deserve!

A Mishmash.....

I know, I know, it's been too long since I have updated this poor blog, but things have been a teensy bit hectic in our lives, hopefully we are able to update everyone about that soon.

Anyway, I call this post the mishmash because that is exactly what it is, a mishmash of fun times we have shared in the last few months and one special blog entry for a very special day I was able to be a part of recently.

Happy Thanksgiving and Halloweenie.... These two "holidays" have to be a few of my favourite, Christmas being the most favourite, but I love these two days because they happen in the fall and the fall happens to be my most favourite time of year.  This most recent thanksgiving, we travelled far, far away,  well, not actually that far really, but we spent a warm almost summer like sunny day at my beautiful Aunt Leah's house in Waterloo.  It was a perfect day for sitting outside, sipping wine and smelling that wonderful aroma of our Thanksgiving feast cooking away.

Thank you to our hosts for a fabulous day an a most fabulous dinner, it was absolutely delicious! :-)

Halloween this year was a BLAST!!! with our little Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger.  He was really into it this year and went to all the houses, house after house, after house, after house... Well, you get it, he went for a really long time and loved every minute of it. It ended up being a pretty good night, it was certainly chippy out there, but warm if you dressed well, which we did.  Anyone who knows me, knows I am not much of a halloween gal, because, ok, here, I'll admit it to the world, I am AFRAID, I mean TERRIFIED of people dressed up, especially CLOWNS.  However, my little man has renewed some child fun for me and I have to admit it, I had lots of fun trick or treating this year.  I will make another confession while I'm on a roll, I hate carving pumpkins, but do it for two reason every year, one of course for my little man and second, for these YUMMY treats and I have to say, they turned out excellent t his  year......

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue........

Does anyone else see the man in the back corner??? because I DID NOT, until HE MOVED.....

Hope everyone had a haunting good time on halloween!!!

The Call of the Wild!!!

For Jackson's actual Birthday Day, we ventured to Niagara Falls for a grand adventure at Great Wolf Lodge.  What a great time we had together.  There was activities and rides for everyone of all ages and with Papa and cousin Ryley along, there was enough of us to go around and we could all have our fun time.  We enjoyed LOTS of water play of course, inside and out as it was a beautiful two days of weather, we had some mini golf fun and some lodge time bedtime stories.  Although it was only a day and a half, we packed in as much fun filled time as we possibly could and I think with all the sleepy eyes on the way home, we accomplished our agenda.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

On July 26th at exactly 9:51 a.m. my baby boy turned 3!!! That's right, 3!!! Can you believe it? I can't, time has gone by so fast and although I love seeing the milestones, the new adventures, my baby boy getting cuter by the day, it's just plain going TOO fast.  I remember very well the days when he was just a wee baby in my arms and reminding myself to enjoy every last second of it because I knew it would be gone in a flash and so I did, but it still doesn't seem like it was enough time, but is there ever ENOUGH time?  I guess I just have to take peace in knowing that I did consciously take that time with him, that I didn't waste any of it and I etched each moment in my memory for life.  He has been a blessing from the beginning, a complete joy in our lives and has added so much love to our family.

Happy Birthday our baby boy, we love you past the stars!
