The Call of the Wild!!!

For Jackson's actual Birthday Day, we ventured to Niagara Falls for a grand adventure at Great Wolf Lodge.  What a great time we had together.  There was activities and rides for everyone of all ages and with Papa and cousin Ryley along, there was enough of us to go around and we could all have our fun time.  We enjoyed LOTS of water play of course, inside and out as it was a beautiful two days of weather, we had some mini golf fun and some lodge time bedtime stories.  Although it was only a day and a half, we packed in as much fun filled time as we possibly could and I think with all the sleepy eyes on the way home, we accomplished our agenda.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

On July 26th at exactly 9:51 a.m. my baby boy turned 3!!! That's right, 3!!! Can you believe it? I can't, time has gone by so fast and although I love seeing the milestones, the new adventures, my baby boy getting cuter by the day, it's just plain going TOO fast.  I remember very well the days when he was just a wee baby in my arms and reminding myself to enjoy every last second of it because I knew it would be gone in a flash and so I did, but it still doesn't seem like it was enough time, but is there ever ENOUGH time?  I guess I just have to take peace in knowing that I did consciously take that time with him, that I didn't waste any of it and I etched each moment in my memory for life.  He has been a blessing from the beginning, a complete joy in our lives and has added so much love to our family.

Happy Birthday our baby boy, we love you past the stars!

A Day Out with Thomas!!

A short time ago we were lucky enough to learn about an exciting adventure coming to a town, not so near to us.  Actually, is was a quick 2 1/2 hour drive to St. Thomas Ontario, but well worth the drive to spend a fantastic summer day with Thomas the Tank Engine, that's right, the actual Thomas the Tank Engine!  How many kids do you know that would LOVE to ride on Thomas? Well, we knew there was one special boy we could give a big smile to and make his day and whenever that is possible, we'll drive the country side if need be......

They're two they're four they're six they're eight....

It's Thomas the Tank Engine
Hip hip hip hip hooray.....

Chugga chugga chug chug, Chuff chuff chuff
He rides along the way.............

And when you hear that whistle......

it can only be one train
Our favorite little engine
Thomas is his name!

Along our trip, the train conductor stopped by for a visit, a quick high five and told a little story about the importance and use of pocket watches on trains like Thomas...

It was a great trip down the tracks and just because we have a few Donalds in the family, we had to snap this quick shot of another one of our favourites....

See you again soon Thomas....
